Sandpit for Millers Forest School (Released 29/04/2014)

As part of our Playground Equipment Project for Millers Forest Public School, the Club has made a gift of a 3.3m x 2.4m sandpit for the children.

Terrific Kids at Hunter River Community School (Released 27/05/2013)

East Maitland Kiwanis has had a long association with the Hunter River Community School, donating funds for communication aids over several years. Hunter River Community School is a model of best practice in the education of students with special needs.

Kiwanis newest club is Beachside-Newcastle (Released 11/03/2013)

During a Growth Summit held in November 2011 of which Anna Swanson was a TAG team member (together achieving growth), Anna pledged to investigate the possibility of a new club based in Newcastle. Anna’s home club agreed to support her efforts both physically and financially so a committee was established to work on a community analysis.

Earlier this year, Glenys Francis was a guest speaker at a meeting.  Glenys spoke to us about the Delerium and Dementia Unit at Maitland Hospital and the unique needs of the patients during their hospital stay.
