How to Join
The East Maitland club is open to community minded men and women of all ages who have a passion for helping those less fortunate. As an individual you may give time to one or two organisations, as a Kiwanis member you can join a group of people and have a more effective outcome for a large number of community groups.
You can join by:
- being invited to a meeting or project by an existing member
- make an enquiry to an existing member
- make an enquiry through the Australia District website
- make an enquiry through our contact page
- write to the club secretary (c/- PO Box 37, East Maitland, NSW 2323)
- turn up to a regular meeting and introduce yourself as an interested person (first and third Monday of each month)
How Much Does It Cost to Join?
- Members pay $75 annually which becomes due on 1st October each year
- There is provision for special membership should you be of limited means.
Each member’s fees are subsidized in some way to ensure that the cost is not an impairment to joining. These subsidies are raised in the following ways: Member fun events; Family BBQs; Australia Day Food Festival; Casserole and Karaoke; Melbourne Cup Calcutta and Lovedale Long Lunch.
