On 13th October 2010 Kiwanis was successful in its bid for $8,000 as part of the ING Community Makeover competition.
During August 2010 we approached Carries Place to ask what we could do to support them and their request was to provide some TLC to their back garden. The success in having funds available for this project meant instead of a general tidy up we were able to plan a much grander project with professional landscaping. Carrie’s Place also had been granted funds for upgrade work and with the combined funds the garden has been totally transformed.
